Air Density Calculator
Calculate moist-air density from temperature, pressure, and humidity. Estimate density altitude and pressure altitude, convert units, and compute dynamic pressure from speed.
Moist-Air Density, Density Altitude, and Derived Aerodynamic Values
Enter conditions in any common units and get density in kg/m³ and lb/ft³, plus dew point, vapor pressure, density ratio, and dynamic pressure.
This tab models moist air as a mixture of dry air and water vapor using common saturation vapor pressure relationships. For high-altitude or unusual gas mixtures, use the other tabs.
If you enter sea-level pressure, this tool estimates station pressure using a standard-atmosphere adjustment based on altitude. For best results, use station pressure when available.
This tab uses a real-gas style correction with Z and a molar-mass-based equation. For humid air specifically, use the Air Density tab.
Dynamic pressure helps estimate aerodynamic forces and wind loads: q = 0.5 × ρ × v². Specific weight is γ = ρ × g.
